Smith County backups step up to beat White House

WHITE HOUSE — Smith County didn’t look short-handed, but the Owls played without three of their offensive starters on Friday evening. Junior Austin Gregory was among those replacements who stepped up, rushing for a career-high 133 yards on 24 carries as the Owls rolled to a 21-0 victory over White House at Dewey H. Whitson Stadium. “It was amazing,” said Gregory, who entered the game with a total of 23 rushes for 131 yards this season. “We got out there and took care of business.
