The following is a playoff preview of tonight’s game from The Jackson Sun:
Previous meeting: 2010 quarterfinals – Lexington 28, White House 6
Common opponents in 2013: Greenbrier. Lexington beat Greenbrier 21-0. White House beat Greenbrier 9-6.
Player to watch: Lexington DL Lamarcus Boales
What to know: The Tigers’ defense did an adequate job of stopping Greenbrier last week and got a shutout to begin the postseason. White House comes in with an impressive resume as the No. 2 seed in the quad, but the Tigers come with the motivation of trying to get to the Class 4A quarterfinals, a place they haven’t reached in three years.
White House is a team that likes to run the ball as much as possible and run it down the defense’s throat. I wonder if this sounds familiar to Lexington fans. The Tigers are another team that’s healthy after dealing with injuries in the past few weeks.
