A new deal that may benefit Sumner County surfaced this week in a revised land swap agreement in which the county and school board will give White House a free and clear land title to build its new library by City Hall.
Sumner County would take ownership of the football stadium used by White House’s high school and middle school. The two schools are in Sumner but their stadium is in Robertson County.
White House requested removal of an onerous deed restriction that requires the city to provide and maintain a stadium “forevermore.” The city of White House is located in both counties.
