News Examiner: Commando offense rolls over White House

Terrell Carter didn’t waste any time. His Hendersonville High teammates followed suit.

Carter ripped off an 80-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage as the Commandos outscored visiting White House 21-7 during the varsity portion of Tuesday evening’s scrimmage at Memorial Stadium. “We have to open next week (at Wilson Central),” Hendersonville head coach Bruce Hatfield said. “We scrimmaged a fine White House team. Hopefully, we’ve made some progress.” The Commandos scored on all three of their varsity possessions, and Hendersonville added two more scores with the second-team unit in the contest.
