Local high school football came back in a big way Friday night with all six local teams participating in the largest high school football jamboree in the state, the Robertson County Jamboree.
White House 2, Fairview 0
In a game that is not indicitive of the final score, the White House Blue Devils outlasted the Fairview Yellow Jackets 2-0 in the primetime game of the Robertson County Jamboree.
White House showed the rest of the teams in the jamboree that despite losing several important defensive players from last season, the Blue Devils would be just as hard score against this fall. Luke Hopkins picked off two Fairview passes on the night and was instrumental in leading a Blue Devil defense that had the only score of the night, a safety.
The Yellow Jackets had their best chance to take the lead midway through the second quarter but missed a chip shot field goal from inside 20 yards to fall 2-0 to White House.
