By Staff Reports of The News Examiner

White House (1-0) at Goodpasture (0-1)

Kickoff at 7 p.m. at Cougar Stadium

Last week: White House captured a 28-7 victory over visiting White House Heritage. Goodpasture suffered a 47-0 loss at Battle Ground Academy.

Last meeting between the two programs: The Blue Devils claimed a 21-7 victory over the visiting Cougars in 2012.

The two teams had drastically different results last week.

The Blue Devils outgained their cross-town rivals in total yardage, 411-172.

Conversely, the Knights were outgained by a 393-95 margin at BGA.

PJP II is led by Jerry Joslin, a former head coach at Gallatin, Cookeville and most recently at Pope John Paul II. Joslin resigned at PJP II last December to accept the head-coaching job at Goodpasture, which is in the midst of a 12-game losing streak.

However, Joslin has a two-game winning streak against White House, helping the Knights to an 18-10 win at White House in 2013 and a 42-41 victory over the visiting Blue Devils last season.

Goodpasture leads the series, 6-5.
