White House – Coach Brian Wise and his staff honored players, managers and community supporters Tuesday night in the White House Middle School cafeteria for the 2017 Blue Devils football banquet.
Quarterback Ranen Blackburn was named one of three team captains and the Most Valuable Player, for a team that finished 3-5 but lost a multiple-overtime thriller at the beginning of the season.
Montrel Black and Mark Alvarez were also named team captains.
Other award winners included Jacob Sureda (offensive back), Spencer Noah (offensive line), Stephen Thomas (defensive line/linebacker), Bryson Harper (defensive back), Tanner Carpenter and Cade Holliday (sportsmanship award) and Landon Ridings (scout team).
