Connection: White House Speech Team off to a strong start

The White House High School Speech Team recently competed at Portland High School’s annual tournament. Their success earned them a 1st place sweepstakes trophy, in addition to numerous individual awards.

Freshman Madison Freeman placed 4th in Storytelling and 5th in Original Oratory; freshman Rebekah Langford placed 5th in Dramatic Interpretation, 2nd in Duet Improvisation and 5th in Humorous Interpretation; sophomore Mac Elkins placed 6th in Duet Improvisation.; junior Noah Faerber placed 2nd in Storytelling, 2nd in Humorous Interpretation, and 3rd in Original Oratory; junior Katelyn Kiernan placed 1st in Storytelling, 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation and 6th in Humorous Interpretation; junior Lily Pollack placed 4th in Dramatic Interpretation and 3rd in Duo Interpretation; junior Jakob Peach placed 6th in Duet Improvisation and 5th in Program Oral Interpretation and senior Amanda Langford placed 2nd in Duet Improvisation, 3rd in Duo Interpretation, and 1st in Original Oratory.
