Middle Blue Devil boys defeat Hawkins, girls fall in low scoring effort

The White House Middle School boys knocked off number six seed Hawkins, 32-28, on the road Thursday.

Despite the middle school conference standings being locked in before the Christmas break, the Blue Devils picked up their fourth win of the season to improve to 4-9. Hawkins fell to 5-8. White House is the eighth seed in the Sumner County Middle School Conference with next week’s conference tournament on the horizon.

White House BDP Network will broadcast Monday’s games live on Facebook @ White House BDP. We will carry the girls game at 5:30 and boys game following with eighth grade recognition also carried live.

White House will play at home Monday night in the final game of the regular season against Knox Doss, then open the conference tournament against ninth-seeded Portland West. The winner will play Knox Doss in the quarterfinals.

Thursday, the White House girls fell to Hawkins, 19-13. White House dropped to 6-7 overall and will play Knox Doss both in the regular season finisher and then again in the quarterfinals of the tournament as the five seed.

Hawkins fell to 1-12 in girls play.
