Bowling: Vickers 12th in state, Law 21st to lead White House individual rounds

SMYRNA – White House bowler Kyle Vickers put on quite a show at the Smyrna Bowling Center during the TSSAA state bowling tournament on Thursday. Vickers qualified among the top-24 boys, rolling games of 184, 199, 232 and 193 to advance to the boys state semifinals.

During the semis, Vickers placed 12th – highest of all White House bowlers — behind games of 207, 163, 158 and 254. Fellow White House bowlers Jacob Watts and Michael Frensley placed 39thand 45th, respectively.

On the girls side, White House’s Destiny Law made the cut to the top 24, rolling games of 166, 168, 152 and 201. In the semifinals, she finished in 21st place with scores of 135, 130, 181 and 141.

The team portion begins on Friday at noon when the White House boys team (18-4) faces Cherokee (18-2) on lanes 43-46.
