WHMS sweeps Hawkins Monday night

HENDERSONVILLE – The White House Lady Devils middle school basketball team improved to 3-0 for the season with a 33-19 victory over Hawkins Monday night in Hendersonville.

White House was led by guard Avery Droz with 14 points, with Sydney Richardson, Carmen Perkins and Marley Hyde all scoring four each. Abigail Bradley added three, and Marley Mills and Emily Seavers had two.

White House, Rucker-Stewart and Hunter remain the only unbeaten girls teams in the county. White House hosts Knox Doss on Thursday.

Monday Girls Scores:

  • White House 33, Hawkins 19
  • Shafer 39, Knox Doss 34
  • Station Camp 30, Portland East 19
  • Rucker-Stewart 43, Ellis 31
  • Hunter 59, Portland West 12

The boys improved to 2-1 for the season with a 37-34 victory.

Michael Greer and Rhys Blackburn led the way with eight points apiece, and Bryce Hill scored seven and Blake Barker six. Keyon Dickerson added four, Caleb Dorris two and Cooper Brinn two.

Knox Doss and Station Camp are the only two remaining undefeated teams at 3-0. White House hosts Knox Doss on Thursday.
