WHITE HOUSE – With adjustments to the schedule during the COVID-19 crisis, the White House Blue Devils have scheduled a new opponent for Friday, Sept. 11th.
Franklin Road Academy will play its first game of the season against White House (1-1) at Dewey H. Whitson Stadium and Leonard Widick Memorial Field in White House City Park. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. and be broadcast on The Blue Devil Network on Facebook Live.
The teams have played six games in the series history, but this will be the first meeting since 1984. White House leads the series, 4-2.
The Panthers have not played a game in the 2020 season and originally were scheduled to travel to St. George on Sept. 11th. Games in several Tennessee counties have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis, which resulted in Hunters Lane being unable to play at White House this week. The Warriors are a public school in Davidson County and each of those teams have not played a game this season.
Franklin Road Academy is coming off an 8-4 season and a Division II-AA Quarterfinal appearance. The Panthers have made 11 straight trips to the TSSAA playoffs since missing the postseason in 2008 with a 4-6 record.
White House defeated Station Camp 28-12, and lost to Trousdale County, 34-14. The Devils had a scheduled bye in week three.
