Drew Ferrell, senior offensive lineman and defensive end for the White House Blue Devils, was named the Farm Bureau Tennessee Player of the Week for Week 4 of the high school football season by local agent Tal Plumlee in White House.
Ferrell had six tackles in a 20-14 double overtime loss to Franklin Road Academy, but also scored his first career touchdown on a 15-yard pick six in the second quarter. When Evan Shankle rushed the quarterback, Ferrell caught the tipped ball out of the air and returned it for a score. He also had a sack and two tackles for losses.
For the season, he has 17 tackles, three tackles for losses, 1.5 sacks and an interception, a defensive touchdown and a quarterback hurry.
