Farm Bureau TN: Layne Jenkins Named Player of the Week (1-2)

Layne Jenkins, senior wide receiver and defensive back for the White House Blue Devils, was named the Farm Bureau Tennessee Player of the Week for Weeks 1 and 2 of the high school football season by local agent Tal Plumlee in White House.

Jenkins recorded a total of eight tackles in the first two games, but made contributions in the plus-minus ratio in both games. He recovered two fumbles in game two, and also intercepted a pass in game one and also intercepted a potential two-point conversion. White House lost week two to Trousdale County, 34-14, but defeated Station Camp in week one, 28-12.

For the season, he has 10 tackles, two fumbles caused, two fumble recoveries, one interception on defense, one interception on special teams, two passes broken up and a tackle for loss.
