Stellar Night for Junior Ranen Blackburn

Junior quarterback Ranen Blackburn of White House scored the eventual game-winning touchdown on a seven-yard run in overtime Friday night over Portland.

Blackburn’s run tied the game at 31-31 and teammate Bryson Harper connected on the PAT to give the Blue Devils a one-point win.

With the big game, Blackburn moved into 12th all-time in career rushing at White House High School, passing Tony Watson. He now has 2,364 yards rushing in his career, and notched his 11th 100-yard game and fourth 200-yard game.

Blackburn finished with 27 carries for 224 yards and and two touchdowns, and completed 7-of-12 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown.

He now has 24 career rushing touchdowns.

  1. Kris, he needs 31 yards for 11th…78 yards for 10th.and 141 yards for 9th which would push him past Michael Wade 2394, Mark West 2441, and Bryan Dixon 2504

  2. Kris, his four 200 yard games ties Ricky Ladd and Brian Jones for 2nd behind Grant Wicker w/6.

    His 150 career pts scored passed Josh Barton, Josh Lanius, and Trey Hyde for 19th all-time behind Michael Wade w/160.
