Senior Night for White House High School football against Greenbrier on October 30, 2020

FOOTBALL

This senior is a one-year member of the football team at special teams and corner back. He is the son of Tim and Tammy Abshire. He is a two-sport athlete and also a member of the baseball team. He plans on attending Vol State and majoring in business management. And he would like to remind everyone that he is “faster than Matthew Miller.” Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 21, Sam Abshire.

This senior is a one-year member of the football team at wide receiver and defensive back. He is the son of Troy and Heather Bowman. He is a two-sport athlete and also a member of the basketball team. His college plans are undecided. And his senior quote is “pro, rocky, fade.” Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 23, Nathan Bowman.

This senior is a four-year member of the football team at fullback and linebacker, and a two-year starter at FB and LB and on special teams. He is the son of Bridgett McLeod and Carl Shankle. His college plans are undecided. And he would like to remind everyone that “I play football.” During his career, he has made 210 career tackles and rushed for 270 yards and two touchdowns. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 36, Evan Shankle.

This senior is a four-year member of the football team at starter at wide receiver and defensive back. He is the son of Billy and Sarah Jenkins. He is a two-sport athlete and also a member of the soccer team, and also a member of BETA and National Honor Society. His college plans are undecided. And he would like to remind everyone to “fly around, all 48.” During his career, he has made 40 tackles. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 41, Layne Jenkins.

This senior is a four-year member of the football team at offensive line and defensive end, and is a three-year starter at defensive end. He is the son of Laurie and Thomas Ferrell. He is a member of Skills USA. He plans on attending SLTC and majoring in electrical. And he would like to remind everyone to “never be selfish and play for your brothers.” During his career, he has made 115 tackles, seven sacks and 24 tackles for losses. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 45, Drew Ferrell.

This senior is a four-year member of the football team at offensive line and defensive line and starter on special teams. He is the son of Geary and Heather Searcy. He is a two-sport athlete and also a member of the wrestling team. He plans on attending Middle Tennessee State University and majoring in sports therapy. And he would like to remind everyone to “be patient, you’ll get your turn.” Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 69, Hunter Searcy.

This senior is a two-year member and starter of the football team at offensive and defensive line. He is the son of William and Tamesha Lucas. He is a two-sport athlete and also a member of the basketball team. His college plans are undecided but he plans on studying health science. And he would say he will “always miss being out on the field with the other teams and hearing them say aye number 72…you big bro.” During his career, he has made 41 tackles. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 72, William Quad Lucas.

This senior is a two-year member of the football team at tight end and defensive back and a starter at tight end and on special teams. He is the son of Thomas and Jada Hollinsworth. His college plans are undecided and he plans on studying civil engineering. And he would like to remind everyone to “win no matter what it takes.” Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 80, Cole Hollinsworth.

This senior is a one-year member of the football team at tight end and defensive back. He is the son of Naser and Dalal Issa. His college plans are undecided and he plans on being an electrical engineer. And wants to be remember as the “football clown.” Ladies and gentlemen, welcome number 83, Yaser Mahmoud.
