Golf: Jenkins Named All-District Large Division

By Kris Freeman for White House High School

Senior golfer Jacob Jenkins was presented with a plaque for his selection to the All-District Golf Team for the large division for the White House Blue Devils.

The Devils, who play in a town without a golf course and in a district featuring larger schools in the Middle Tennessee area, competed hard this season against talented squads from the Sumner, Robertson and Wilson County region.

Coached by Cindy Towers, White House will get to realign next season into a new classification and district featuring different schools, offering more competitive balance for the Devils.

Jenkins is a two-sport athlete at White House and also a member of the tennis team, and the son of Mark and Becky Jenkins. All three Jenkins kids have been student athletes at White House High School. His older brother Caleb is a White House and Tennessee Tech graduate and played tennis at WHHS, and younger sister Mackenzie is a freshman on the volleyball team.
