WHITE HOUSE – Sophomore Zane Brown connected on a career high seven three-pointers and 21 points for White House on Monday night, and the Blue Devils earned the season sweep over Sycamore with a 63-44 victory.
White House made 15 threes in the game, jumping out to a big lead early and dominating the contest.
After scoring 43 in a seven-point win in the whole game at Sycamore Friday night, White House scored 44 in the first half alone and improved to 10-10 overall and 7-3 in District 9-AA. When Sycamore slowed the game on Friday, they kept the lead and the pace for almost three-quarters. On Monday, White House pushed the tempo and an early lead to win going away.
Senior Quad Lucas added 12 points, followed by senior Nathan Bowman with eight. Junior Amarion Lucas and senior Ethan Droz added six each, and sophomore Caleb Dorris dropped in four. Sophomores Maverick Mason and Jimmy Allen came off the bench late to each drain a three-pointer.
White House travels to Westmoreland on Tuesday night, looking to sweep their Sumner County neighbors for the year. White House is nearing an opportunity to lock down the second seed in District 9-AA behind White House Heritage at the top.
Brown ended his two-game stretch against the War Eagles with 31 points after scoring 10 on Friday, and Quad Lucas bettered his teammate with 22 in the first game and 34 points overall.
