Caden Blackford wasted no opportunities at the plate on Tuesday, driving in six on three hits to lead the Blue Devils past Jo Byrns 17-13 on Tuesday. Blackford drove in runs on a single in the fourth, a double in the fifth, and a home run in the sixth.
White House improved to 3-2 overall with a trip to Portland on Wednesday coming.
There was plenty of action on the basepaths as the Blue Devils collected 13 hits and Jo Byrns had 12.
Jo Byrns got things moving in the first inning.
Jo Byrns evened things up at three in the bottom of the third inning when an error scored two runs for Jo Byrns.
Kaiden Biggs was credited with the victory for White House. Biggs allowed four hits and four runs over two and a third innings, striking out six. Riley Eaton and Rogers entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Rogers recorded the last out to earn the save for Blue Devils.
