BSB: Devils Drop Bobcats With Late Inning Run

White House took the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Greenbrier on Monday. The game was tied at four with White House batting in the top of the sixth when Dustin Palmerdoubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

White House built a four-run lead in the first inning and then held off Greenbrier’s charge. Greenbrier scored three runs on a home run in the fifth inning.

In the first inning, White House got their offense started.  Zane Brown drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Greenbrier tied things up at four when.

Brown was the winning pitcher for White HouseBrown allowed two hits and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Laney took the loss for Greenbrier. Laney surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Miller started the game for Greenbrier. The hurler allowed three hits and four runs over five innings, striking out eight Caden Blackford started the game for White House. The righthander lasted four and a third innings, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out 11

Blackford led White House with three hits in four at bats.
