BSB: Battle of Devils is a Three-Game Sweep

WHITE HOUSE – White House defeated Jo Byrns on Thursday at home, earning a three game sweep over the Red Devils for the season in non district game.

The Blue Devils have won eight in a row and host Knights Academy and Clarksville Northeast in a two-game split doubleheader on Friday.

Tanner Carpenter picked up the win on the mound for White House.

White House wins contest against Jo Byrns, 8-3

Jo Byrns got on the board in the first inning.  Cox grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, White House tied things up at one when Caden Blackforddoubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

White House pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for White House.

White House put up six runs in the third inning.  Zane BrownMatthew SuredaDustin Palmer, and Blackford all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Tanner Carpenter was the winning pitcher for White HouseCarpenter surrendered three runs on four hits over five innings, striking out four and walking one.  Kaiden Biggs threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Head took the loss for Jo Byrns. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing four hits and eight runs while striking out five.

Blackford led White House with two hits in three at bats.
