Rutherford County will continue to host Spring Fling but the state baseball and track championships will have new homes.
Instead of being held at Middle Tennessee State, the baseball tournament will spread out at local high schools while the track and field championships will move to Rockvale High School.
The changes announced Wednesday are due to MTSU’s capacity limits at Hayes Stadium for track and Reese Smith Jr. Field for baseball.
Spring Fling is scheduled May 25-28 and spectators will be encouraged to wear masks and allow for adequate physical distancing from those not in their household as part of the latest TSSAA COVID-19 regulations.
For the seven sports comprising Spring Fling, they will be conducted at 13 different venues around Murfreesboro.
Boys soccer will be held at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex, softball at McKnight and Star*Plex Fields and tennisat the Old Fort Park Tennis Complex.https://1c919653d30b519c083bfee758d6ef08.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html
