White House High School senior Rebekah Langford signed Wednesday with the speech team at the University of Alabama, where she will be attending after graduation at WHHS.
Langford was joined in the White House High School library with her family, teachers and classmates, and the award-winning WHHS speech team led by Emily Higdon.
Langford is graduating with highest honors from WHHS and is a national qualifier for the National Speech and Debate Tournament in June.
Rebekah’s family has long been associated with White House High School. Her sister Amanda was a speech champion at WHHS and attended Western Kentucky University and will be a teacher. Her mom Jane is a teacher at WHHS and her dad Scott is the assistant director of schools for Sumner County and a former WHHS principal, teacher and coach.
