Golf: White House golfers advance to region, girls finish second

The White House High School golf team competed Thursday at Oak Hills Country Club in Greenbrier in the District 11 Golf Tournament championships.

White House girls finished second in the district and advanced to the regional round as a team.

Kelsey Nokes finished second overall and shot a 53 on the front nine and 45 on the back for a combined total of 98. Aylin Hatch finished fifth with a 103, shooting a 52-51 split.

On the boys side, all three golfers advanced on individual scores.

Baylor Burrow led the Blue Devils with a 97, shooting 48-49.

Trace Lamberth was second on the team for the Devils with an even 100, shooting 50 on both ends.

Charlie Hatch shot a 102, with a 47 and 55.

The Region Tournament is Monday, Sept. 27th at Montgomery Bell Golf Course.

The White House Blue Devils golf team is coached by Cindy Towers.
