Five Lady Devils honored by District 11-AA Volleyball (45 Photos)

There was a lot of hardware headed back across town for the White House Lady Devils after the District 11-AA Volleyball Tournament at White House Heritage High School.

Finishing third in the regular season standings, White House upset Macon County 3-1 in the semifinals on Tuesday, and as a result saw five team members honored for their contribution to the Lady Devils success.

White House seniors Justine Lowe and Megan Thompson were named to the 2021 All-District 11-AA Team for the regular season.

White House senior Lacey Escue, junior Caleigh Anderson and sophomore Olivia Davidson were named to the 2021 All-District 11-AA All-Tournament Team.

The championship game was a thriller, with White House fighting off four set points in the second set before losing by two. White House Heritage took the first and second set by only two points each, which is the minimum to win.

In the third, it was White House with five set points and finally winning the last one at 28-26 to climb back into the match, 2-1. But in the fourth, the host Lady Patriots won 25-19.

The Region 6-AA Tournament will be Tuesday at White House Heritage. with Sycamore vs. White House Heritage at 4:30, then White House vs. Creek Wood at 6 p.m. then the championship winners after that game to be played on the same night.

The winner of the region and loser of the region championship both advance to substate (sectional).
