Three White House Lady Devils volleyball players were named to the 2021 Main Street Preps and The Gallatin News All-Sumner County volleyball team, with one first team and second team selection and an honorable mention.
Senior Megan Thompson, the liber for the Blue Devils, was selected to the first team. Thompson ended her career as one of the most successful at serve to wear a Lady Devils uniform, with just four service errors in 277 opportunities, a 98.6 serve percentage. She also had 325 digs and was named to the All-District 11-AA regular season team.
Senior Justine Lowe, outside hitter, was named to the second team. Lowe powered the outside game with 239 kills, 271 digs and 37 aces, and was an All-District 11-AA regular season selection.
Junior Caleigh Anderson, a middle blocker, was named honorable mention. Anderson had 152 kills and 48 blocks and was named to the All-District 11-AA All-Tournament Team.
White House is co-coached by Kassie King and Dani Villafana and Coach King was selected as the 2021 All-County Coach of the Year, leading the Lady Devils to a region and district runner-up finish and advancing to the Class AA sectional against Lawrence County to end the season.
It was White House’s first appearance in a sectional round in 29 years.

Following an excellent season on the hardwood, the time has come for Main Street Preps to name its All-Sumner County volleyball teams.
Alongside the teams will be superlatives for Player of the Year, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year.
Main Street Preps received nominations from seven of the nine county schools that compete in volleyball.
Our All-Sumner County volleyball team is comprised of two teams plus honorable mention honoring 20 girls in total.
Headlining our All-Sumner County volleyball team is Player of the Year Renee Keck. Keck, a senior at Station Camp and outside hitter, won Most Valuable Player during the District 10-AAA regular season, the District 10-AAA tournament, and the Region 5-AAA tournament. She finished with 40 aces, 421 kills, 52 blocks, and 302 digs.
Our Newcomer of the Year award goes to Portland junior Layla Loftis. Loftis came on strong for the Lady Panthers in 2021, helping the purple and white finish second in District 10-AAA and make it to the Region 5-AAA tournament.
Loftis, a middle hitter, was named to the All-District Tournament team leading the Lady Panthers in hitting percentage (.225) and finishing with 76 blocks.
Team of the Year in Sumner County is awarded to Station Camp High School who won a county-high 29 games, and advanced to the Class AAA Sectional Round.
Coach of the Year goes to White House head coach Kassie King for navigating her Lady Devils to the sectional round for the first time in 29 years. White House finished as district and region runners-up before falling at Lawrence County.
