Four business students complete MOS certification

Four students in Mrs. Betsey Jones class completed their Microsoft Office Specialist Word Associate Industry Certification.

The students are a part of Mrs. Jones computer applications class and completed their test on October 27, 2021.

“I am very proud of my students and these are the first of what should be many MOS certified students this year,” Mrs. Jones said.

Industry certifications are a big part of the partnership with White House High School, Sumner County Schools and Career and Technical Education training for students in Tennessee. CTE programs are designed to prepare students for the future workplace and academic achievement by offering real-world applications and certifications in a number of different technical and career fields.

Microsoft Office is the world’s most widely-used program in office administration, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and many other administrative computer applications and functions.

“This is a testament to their hard work and the hard work of Mrs. Jones in the class,” said White House assistant principal Kyle Gilliland. “Congrats to our students for a job well done.”
