The White House FFA Farm Business Management Team recently competed in the National FFA Farm Business Management competition.
State champions from all over the nation participated in the event which included an examination testing the team’s knowledge of record keeping, budget analysis, financial analysis, financial statements, cash flow analysis, marketing, income taxes, risk management, family financial planning and more.
The White House FFA team scored in the top twenty in the nation and qualified for the national finals championship to be held at the National FFA Convention October 26-30, in Indianapolis, Indiana. At the national contest, the team will be given a forest enterprise scenario. They will analyze the data and financial situation and then give recommendations for plans of action for the best financial outcomes for the enterprise.
“The team has been working hard for this competition and has overcome a lot of adversity caused by the pandemic,” said White House FFA advisor Mike Akridge.
Team members are Jackson Sutton, Mary Niblett, Kolvin Oaks, and Conner Stewart.
